CEFMA Announces 2010-11 Officers and Board of Directors

CLEVELAND -- The members of the Collegiate Event and Facility Management Association (CEFMA) have selected Tim O’Connell, senior associate athletics director at the University of Dayton, to serve as the President for 2010-11. O’Connell will serve as the second-ever President of the association.

CEFMA also elected Andrea Williams, associate commissioner, Big Ten Conference as the 1st Vice President; Lisa Sweany, senior associate athletics director at Grand Valley State University as the 2nd Vice President/Treasurer; and Dawn Stewart, director of athletics at Capital University as the 3rd Vice President/Treasurer for 2010-11.

“Our second year was another successful one and I hope to continue the momentum as we look to increase membership in year three,” stated O’Connell. “I want to thank Past President Steve Adams, who led our Association since our inception two years ago. Our Officers and Board are excited to continue to promote the development, leadership, integrity and success of administrators in our field in 2011.”

Suzy Mason, associate athletics director-event management/facilities & operations at the University of Arizona joins the 2010-11 Board of Directors, which includes Past President Steve Adams, assistant athletics director – internal operations at Wake Forest University; Jeanne Boyd, managing director of the Division I Men’s Basketball Championship, NCAA; Donyale Canada, associate commissioner – women’s basketball operations & sport programs, Mid-American Conference; Brett Hickman, assistant athletics director – event management & facilities, Wake Forest University; Michael Kelly, associate commissioner, Atlantic Coast Conference; and John David Wicker, associate athletics director - event & facility operations, Washington State University.


 

 

The 3rd Annual CEFMA Convention will take place June 15-16, 2011 at the World Center Marriott Resort in Orlando, Florida.
