CEFMA Contributes $1,000 to Gene Slay's Girls & Boys Club of St. Louis

May 12, 2017

CLEVELAND -- The Collegiate Event and Facility Management Association (CEFMA) Board of Directors announced a $1,000 gift made on behalf of the Association to the Gene Slay's Girls & Boys Club of St. Louis. The CEFMA Board of Directors held its annual spring meeting in St. Louis in April, and conducts a service project in conjunction with their meeting each year. This year, as a part of the Club's college preparatory program, the Board participated in three separate career exploration panels where they discussed responsibilities and opportunities related to careers in athletics.

The contribution will help the organization, whose mission is "to empower girls and boys in the St. Louis metropolitan area, especially those who need us most, to realize their physical, intellectual, and emotional potential." Gene Slay's Girls & Boys Club of St. Louis serves 660 youth from ages 6 to 18.

"The CEFMA Board of Directors is proud to support the Gene Slay's Girls & Boys Club of St. Louis," stated CEFMA President, Mike Snyder, Director of Athletics at Illinois College. "This organization is doing remarkable things for the city of St. Louis and we were honored to provide our support and insight to assist in the advancement of the youth in this great city."

CEFMA is set to host its ninth annual Convention, June 10-12, at the World Center Marriott Resort in Orlando, Florida. To register for the Convention and view the complete agenda, click here.
