Lisa Sweany Position: Senior Associate Athletics Director Institution: Grand Valley State University

Lisa Sweany graduated from Tri-State University in 1991 with a Bachelors in Business Administration and then earned her Masters in Sport Administration from Ball State University in 2006.

Having been at Grand Valley State University since April 2000, Sweany is now the Senior Associate Athletics Director. She has served on the NCAA DII Nominating Committee from 2004 through 2008, Regional Ranking Committee for DII Women's Basketball from 2003 to 2006 and the Regional Ranking Committee for DII Softball from 2005 through 2008. Sweany over see's operations of all of GVSU athletic and recreational facilities including the new 138,000 square ft Laker Turf Building opening August 2008. Overseeing 12 of the 19 varsity sports at GVSU, Sweany assists with day to day operations of the athletics department, and acts as tournament director of numerous DII regional and five national tournaments which are hosted at GVSU each year.
