Mike Bujol Position: Associate Athletics Director Institution: University of New Orleans

Bringing more than 25 years of experience in virtually every area of the UNO Athletics Department, Mike Bujol currently serves as the Privateers Associate Athletics Director for Internal Operations. The New Orleans native, who returned to UNO in the spring of 2003 following a brief retirement in 2002, joined the department as the sports information director in 1982 after a brief stint in television production. Currently, Bujol serves as game manager for all UNO home events. His also oversees the daily operations and scheduling of athletic events and practices at Lakefront Arena and Maestri Field. In addition, he is the department's in-house liaison with the NCAA and Sun Belt Conference in regards to special projects and event hosting.

Bujol also heads facility upgrade projects, including the refurbishment of athletics department offices and locker rooms in Lakefront Arena and the renovations of Maestri Field. He is also spearheading the rebuilding efforts for the new athletics administration building. Most recently, Bujol served as the tournament director for the 2008 NCAA Women's Regional at the New Orleans Arena. The event was one of numerous NCAA championships that Bujol has run. He has also been involved with the NCAA Men's and Women's Final Four, the NCAA Men's Basketball First and Second Rounds, the NCAA Volleyball Championship and the College World Series. He has also assisted with numerous Sun Belt Conference championships. This year, Bujol will be the third vice president for the newly formed Collegiate Event and Facility Management Association.

A 1977 graduate of Loyola (N.O.), Bujol and his wife, Dawn, have a son (Beau) and a daughter (Carlie) and reside in Metairie.
