Dr. Jeanne Boyd became the Managing Director of the Division I Men's Basketball Championship in January of 2007. Her responsibilities include: overseeing the budgets for all rounds of the tournament, managing the division I men's basketball staff in areas: media, tickets, event operations, legislation, hotels, and ancillary events. Her most coveted responsibility, however, is facilitating the team selection, seeding and bracketing process for the Division I Men's Basketball Committee.

Prior to becoming managing director, Jeanne was the director of the championship from 2003 until 2007. From 2000-2003 Boyd served as Associate Commissioner for Championships and Operations at the Sun Belt Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana. While there, she directed 17 different conference championships, the awards programs, officiating program, as well as formulated the regular-season schedules for all sports.

Outside of her conference responsibilities, Boyd served as the Operations Director for the inaugural New Orleans Bowl from 2001- 2003 as well as the Game Management Director for the 2001 First and Second Rounds of the Division I Men's Basketball Championship and the 2003 Men's Final Four. Prior to joining the Sun Belt Conference, she served as Assistant Director of Event Management in the athletic department at Louisiana State University. As assistant director, she managed all home athletic events and assisted in the operations of five NCAA tournaments held on campus.

Boyd has served on various NCAA committees including the Division I Championship/ Competition Cabinet, the Division I Football Bowl Certification Committee and the Division I Regional Advisory Committee for Women's Soccer. She has taught courses in research methodology, program and event planning, and sports management at Louisiana State University, Clemson University and the University of Florida.

She holds a bachelor's and master's degrees in health and human performance, both from the University of Florida; and a doctor of philosophy degree in education leadership and research from Louisiana State University.
