Frank Hardymon Appointed CABMA's 3rd Vice President for 2007-08
July 26, 2007
As many of you know, the past month has been very difficult for the leadership of CABMA and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Doug Beard, a highly respected administrator at UW and CABMA's 2nd Vice President, and current Manager of the Year, passed away on June 22. The leadership of CABMA, out of respect for the impact of Doug's loss across the collegiate athletic landscape and in our organization, felt that we needed to pause before selecting an individual to replace Doug on the Executive Committee.
To that end, the Executive Committee would like to announce that Frank Hardymon, Associate Athletic Director for External Affairs at the College of William and Mary, has been appointed CABMA's 3rd Vice President for the 2007-08 year. Frank will replace Jeanette Shoecraft in this position because of her transition into the vacant role of 2nd Vice President.
While it will be difficult to replace Doug's energy and passion for CABMA (and the golf tournament), Frank has shown a similar investment in CABMA for many years, serving actively on virtually every committee available. Please join us in welcoming Frank to the Executive Committee!
