Thoughts from CABMA President Darin Spease:

It is with much sadness that the CABMA family learned of the untimely passing of 2nd Vice President and 2007 Manager of the Year, Doug Beard this past weekend. Doug was a tireless worker, who sought to ensure that the annual convention was a rewarding experience for all of our attendees and vendors. He annually organized, flawlessly, the pre-convention golf tournament and was a hands-on member of our Executive Committee, heading up the membership drive this past year. We join the University of Wisconsin athletic family, and his colleagues all over the collegiate landscape in remembering a true professional that will be missed by everyone lucky enough to call him a friend and colleague.
