CABMA is partnering with the NCAA and NACUBO to offer a unique workshop for Athletics Business Officers in tandem with the convention in June. This workshop was first offered at the NCAA convention in January to a group of over 45 athletics business officers. There was extremely positive feedback from the participants.

The program will be held on June 14th-15th, just before the start of the CABMA convention. It will focus on the following topics:

1. Developing integrated financial plans
2. Developing visual financial models
3. Reporting financials
4. Customizing budget presentations

To minimize the travel costs and time away from the office, this 2-day workshop has been compressed into an interactive, engaging 1.5 days. The workshop will start at 1 pm on Sunday, June 14, and conclude on Monday afternoon, June 15.

The NCAA is subsidizing the fee for this workshop to make it feasible for as many athletics business officers as possible to attend. With the compressed workshop timing, attendees will need to reserve only one additional hotel room night if they plan to attend the CABMA conference as well.

Registration for this program will open on April 1, 2009 on the NACUBO Web site. It will be limited to 50 participants on a first-come, first-served basis.
