Question:

We are currently finalizing our 2003-04 EADA submission to the NCAA. Our Controller's Office wanted me to throw out a question to the group regarding the Capital Expenditure Survey.

For questions # 6 and # 7 on the survey, what guidelines did other schools use when making the determination of whether a debt service expense (Question #6) or total debt outstanding (Question # 7) was related to a facility. The survey only asks for debt service and debt outstanding related specifically to facilities. Basically, for purposes of these two questions, what is encompassed by the term "facility." As in many aspects of the EADA report, this is a somewhat broad term and is open to interpretation.
