Chauncey Winbush is in his 10th year at the United States Naval Academy, where he serves as associate athletics director for business affairs. Under the leadership of the CFO, Winbush currently assists in the development and management of the Naval Academy's athletics budget. Winbush has direct oversight of several Olympic Sports and administrative budgets, while also acting as the administrator for the men's water polo and golf programs. Prior to Navy, Winbush worked as a fund accountant at T. Rowe Price and Associates and at BT Alex Brown. He also served as the general staff accountant at Phillips Business Information and the assistant director of operations for Emcee Sports. Winbush earned his master's degree in sports management from George Washington University in 2002. He earned a bachelor's degree in sports management in 2000 and in accounting in 1995 from Shepherd University. While at Shepherd, Winbush earned four varsity letters as a wide receiver and return specialist for the Rams football team. Winbush garnered All American honors as a senior and was inducted into the Shepherd University Athletics Hall of Fame in 2005. Winbush has been a member of both the CABMA and MOAA associations, for eight and two years, respectively. He currently resides in Elkridge, Md. with his wife, Michelle, and their two children - Chase (6) and Chloe (4). |
