Stacy Martin, was named assistant athletics director for business at Kansas State in January 2010. In her new role, Martin will supervise the athletic business office, trademark and licensing, and consessions operations.

Prior to Kansas State, Martin served as the senior associate athletics director/chief operating officer and SWA at her alma mater, San Jose State. For two full years and part of a third, Martin had fiscal oversight for the department's $20-million annual budget that includes 16 sports, 28 departments and 115 employees.

Martin's professional career started as a San Jose State ticket office employee in 2002. She moved to the business office in January 2003 and was promoted to Athletics Business Manager in 2004. In 2006, she was named an associate athletics director.

Martin is a member of NACDA (National Association of College Directors of Athletics), CABMA (College Athletic Business Management Association), Beta Gamma Sigma (International Honors society for studies in Business), WISC (Women In Sports Careers), NACWAA (National Association Of Collegiate Women Athletic Administrators) and the Golden Key International Honor Society.

Additionally, Martin is a graduate of the Sports Management Institute - a collaboration of the Universities of Southern California, Notre Dame and North Carolina. The Sports Management Institute provides a specialized executive management program for sports management professionals.

A four-time letterwinner and former captain of the Spartan women's gymnastics team, Martin has bachelor's and master's degrees from San Jose State University. The 2002 graduate majored in business administration and corporate financial management. She earned an M.B.A. in finance in 2005.
