In this issue I would like to recognize the people
behind the scenes that really make the
organization what it is. I would also like to thank
Tom Stewart, Secretary; and Scott Geddis,
Treasurer, along with all of the district and atlarge
representatives. In all we have more than 20
athletics directors working hard for the
membership of NATYCAA. If you would like to
get involved, please visit www.natycaa.com and
contact any of the executive committee members
and let them know of your interest.

I would like to thank everyone that attended the
2009 NATYCAA Convention in Orlando, which
started out at the Hawk's Landing Golf Club.
Special thanks to Ron Case and Gary Broadhurst
for their efforts. The Presidents welcome by Dave
Evans started the Convention on Thursday
morning. Dave's leadership last year was
outstanding and is appreciated by everyone. We
were extremely fortunate to have our keynote
speaker Bernard Franklin, executive vice president
for membership services and student-athlete affairs
of the NCAA, speak to the NATYCAA members. A
special thanks goes to Carlyle Carter for all of his
hard work in getting Dr. Franklin.
