SOUTHWEST Recreational Industries, Inc. Signs on as a NACDA Corporate Partner
Cleveland, Ohio - SOUTHWEST Recreational Industries, Inc., a leading provider of synthetic and natural turf and track products, has become a corporate partner of the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) as the Official Sports Field and Track Supplier. The term is for a one-year period, running through June 2003. "We are pleased to partner with an organization that has done so much to keep intercollegiate athletics professionals informed on important issues," said Reed J. Seaton, chief executive officer of Southwest. "Keeping those in the industry up-to-date on the latest issues is a critical component in continuing to improve the quality and safety of collegiate sports. More than 1,200 athletics administrators annually attend the NACDA Convention. NACDA also owns and operates the two preseason football games, the Kickoff and Pigskin Classics. Additionally, NACDA operates the Sears Directors' Cup program, which honors the all-sports champion in each of the NCAA Divisions -- I, II and III -- and the NAIA, for a total of four trophies.
