Orlando, Fla. - It's only fitting that the mastermind behind the fast break, a once revolutionary idea that has since changed the face of basketball, was openly honored and adored Friday night by some of the most remarkable revolutionaries in the world of sports at the 2nd Annual Hall of Fame Induction Reception which bears his name. John McLendon meant so much to so many people, and the evening was as much of a celebration of his pioneering efforts and inventive ideas on the hardwood as a descendent of Mr. Naismith as it was a celebration of the accomplishments of the men and women seated on the dais being recognized for their McLendon-like attributes that allowed them to have the impact they were able to have on their respective sports.

CLEVELAND - IMG Worldwide has been named the official presenting sponsor of the 2009 John McLendon Minority Athletics Administrators Hall of Fame Induction Reception. The second annual ceremony will take place June 19 in conjunction with the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) Convention at the Orlando World Center Marriott Resort.

Major League Baseball (MLB) Vice President of On-Field Operations Bob Watson will be inducted into the John McLendon Minority Athletics Administrators Hall of Fame on June 19, 2009, the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) announced today. The induction ceremony will be held in conjunction with the 44th Annual NACDA Convention at the Orlando World Center Marriott Resort. In his position at MLB since February 2002, Watson oversees player discipline, pace of game, uniform policy, stadium configuration and other on-field matters.
