Doubletree Hotel Downtown

This year, all attendees will be housed at the Doubletree Downtown, which has 367 rooms. The Doubletree Hotel Downtown is located in the heart of New Orleans excitement located on Canal Street. Overlooking the Mississippi River, the hotel is situated just 15 miles from The Louis Armstrong International Airport. The property is adjacent to the city's Business and Entertainment Districts and is only four blocks to The Convention Center, as well. Across the street from the Famous French Quarter, Harrah's Casino and within walking distance to Hundreds of shops and restaurants. The Doubletree is perfectly situated for a visit in New Orleans.
Room rates are $163 for single or double occupancy. The cutoff for reservations with the ICLA rate is December 23, 2004. There is a 72-hour cancellation policy. Check-in time is 3:00 p.m.; with checkout at 12:00 noon.
The hotel is equipped with a host of modern amenities. For the guests' convenience, the hotel offers a Café, Restaurant and a Sports Bar. A fitness facility and an outdoor pool are also onsite. The Doubletree also features valet service, business center, guest laundry, and gift shop.
Local attractions include Aquarium of the Americas, Bourbon Street, Canal Place, Harrah's Casino, French Quarter, New Orleans Convention Center, Queen of New Orleans Riverboat, the Riverwalk, the Superdome and The Audubon Zoo.
Online Registration
ICLA members can make hotel reservations online. The ICLA member rate at the Doubletree is $163. Although the site identifies the meeting as CAMEX, it is also used by attendees of the ICLA Winter Symposium. http://www.camex.org/housing.asp.
Standard Registration
Please print the Housing Reservation Form. This form is also used by ICLA members attending the ICLA Winter Symposium. It can be returned via fax to 800/521-6017 (Domestic); 847/940-2386 (International). A valid credit card is required to confirm fax reservation requests. Reservations can also be mailed to CAMEX 2005 Housing Bureau, 108 Wilmont Road, Suite 400, Deerfield, IL, 60015-0825. If the form is received without a valid deposit it will not be processed. Phone registration may be used by calling 800/424-5250 (Domestic) or 847/940-2153 (International), the hours of operation are 8:00a.m. to 5:00p.m. Monday through Friday, CST. Deposits
All rooms must be guaranteed with a $150 deposit per room payable by check or valid credit card. Requests received without a valid guarantee will be returned and will not be processed. Credit card guarantee: Credit cards must be valid through March 2005 to be considered proper guarantee. Check deposit guarantee: Make checks payable to "CAMEX 2005 Housing Bureau" in U.S. funds drawn on a U.S. bank. No wire transfers will be accepted. Mail check along with your hotel reservation form to the address provided above. Checks will be cashed upon receipt by the CAMEX Housing Bureau.
Cancellations/Changes
The CAMEX Housing Bureau must receive cancellations on or prior to Jan. 27, 2005, prior to 5 p.m. CST to avoid a $15 processing fee. Starting Feb. 10, 2005 and prior to 72 hours before arrival date, changes and cancellations must be made with your assigned hotel. Your deposit will be refunded less a $15 processing fee. Any cancellations made within 72 hours of the arrival date will result in forfeiture of the full deposit.
Hotel Rates and Taxes
Take advantage of special rates by booking your reservation by Jan. 27, 2005. After Jan. 27, 2005, CAMEX room blocks will be released and hotels may charge higher rates. All rates are per room and are subject to 13% tax and a $3.00 per paid room night occupancy tax (subject to change).
