ICLA Membership Initiative forms are now available for the 2010 ICLA Convention. The Initiative seeks individuals who want to advance their trademark and licensing career, enhance professional ability to raise funds for their institution/company, and create valuable networking opportunities with numerous collegiate licensing administrators.

One day in Nov. 2008, Lt. Joseph Grillo, who at that time was
serving in Iraq, received a very special care package. Most
soldiers serving overseas receive numerous care packages
from family and friends, churches, community groups and
others, but this care package was different. Along with
sunflower seeds, Slim Jims and candy, it included copies of
the Rutgers University student newspaper, a copy of Rutgers
Magazine, a Rutgers football t-shirt, and most importantly, a
Rutgers banner. Lt. Grillo is a 2007 graduate of Rutgers and
the Rutgers Army ROTC program, where he was
commissioned as a Second Lieutenant (he is now a First
Lieutenant). A loyal Scarlet Knight, Lt. Grillo had tried to
obtain a Rutgers banner or flag to display in his personal area,
but without success. He was very surprised and happy,
therefore, to shortly thereafter receive a Rutgers care package
which included a Rutgers banner.

As we began working on a marketing plan for our
program at Purdue University last spring, we wanted
to create new ways to engage our partners on
campus, at retail and in the community. Our goal was
to create unifying events that would tie many
programs into one.
