Navreet Gill Position: Intern Associations: NACMA, D2, CABMA, NATYCAA

Navreet Gill graduated from Ferris State with a degree in public relations and a certificate in marketing. A varsity softball player, Gill was a four-time recipient of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association National Scholar-Athlete Award (2002-05), was named to the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic (GLIAC) All-Academic Team (2003-05) and received the President's Academic Award for the highest GPA on the team three times (2003-05). She was also honorable mention All-GLIAC while helping the Bulldogs earn a share of the conference championship in her senior season. She also spent the 2005-06 year as a student assistant softball coach.

A native of Brampton, Ontario, Gill received a National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA) postgraduate scholarship in June, the NCAA Degree Completion Award and Ferris State's Willie Bouyer Leadership Award. The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) chair and conference representative was also an intern in FSU's athletics department for two years. She was responsible for coordinating group sales for the hockey team, game management, marketing and in-game promotions for all Bulldog home athletics events. She was tournament coordinator for the Ferris State Invitational Volleyball Tournament in 2004 and also wrote news and sports stories for the campus newspaper.

Following her internship, Gill plans to pursue a graduate degree while continuing to work in college athletics.

Gill works with the College Athletic Business Management Association (CABMA), the Division II Athletics Directors Association, NACMA and the National Alliance of Two Year College Athletics Administrators (NATYCAA). She also writes for Athletics Administration, helps compile the Daily Review and the U.S. Sports Academy Directors' Cup standings. Gill can be reached at nacmaintern@nacda.com.
