These students came from 26 states and 71 NACDA-member institutions and many have gone on to jobs in the field of athletics administration. During the NACDA internship, students are exposed to different aspects involved in the field of sports administration. Interns work for an established Association while receiving academic credit. This internship serves as a way to increase a student's knowledge of the administrative duties within collegiate athletics by providing practical experience. The internship is a year long commitment in the national office. It begins in early July and ends upon the conclusion of the NACDA Convention the following year. Interns are paid a weekly stipend as well as receive housing and health insurance benefits.
