The Division I-AAA Athletics Directors Association annually presents Scholar-Athlete Teams in men and women's basketball. Two 10-member squads are selected for each gender, as well as an overall male and female "Scholar-Athlete of the Year."

The nominee must be a starter or important reserve with legitimate athletics credentials and at least a 3.2 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale). He/She must have reached JUNIOR academic standing at your institution (ineligible athletics transfers are not eligible) and must have completed at least three academic semesters/five quarters at your institution. Nominated student-athletes must have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's games listed on the nomination form.
