CORPORATE VILLAGE GUIDELINES 1. Corporate Village Hosts will be assigned a 15 minute delivery time to set-up their tent. These times will begin approximately three (3) hours before the party begins. Earlier admission is possible by advanced special reqt.,est andpass only. The tailgate field will be monitored from Thursday evening through the day of the event.
* GLASS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED IN CORPORATE, VILLAGE. 3. By University policy, event parking for football parking on campus is $5 per car. Parking is available at Lawson lee Arena. Handicapped parking is in Lot 6 and golf carts will be available to transport handicapped individuals to and from the Corporate Village. Please let us know in advance if you need handicap arrangements. 4. Corporate Village at Hyames Field will open for all invited guests two-and-a-half (2 Y2) hours prior to game time. Entrance to Corporate Village is the main gate, which is center field of Hyames Baseball Field; and for paid parking attendees; you may enter the tailgate field by using the stairwell that joins both Ebert Softball Field and Hyames Field. 5. Individuals wishing to enter Corporate Village MUST be wearing a tailgateparticipants badge. It is the sole responsibility of each tent host to ensure that all invited guests bring their stickers into Corporate Village. Individuals not wearing a participant badge must be escorted into Corporate Village by the corporate host only. 6. WMU Athletics will provide three (3) tables and three (3) chairs for food setup. Additional tables and chairs will be at the expense of each tent host. We encourage stand up tailgate parties due to the number of people who attend these events. 7. Each Corporate Tent host who intends to serve alcohol must read, understand, sign, and adhere to the alcohol responsibility form prior to the event. GLASS will not be permitted in Corporate Village. 8. There is no parking available at Corporate Village. Please make proper arrangements to communicate your drop-off time to WMU Athletic Corporate Relations so that we can try to accommodate your catering plans.
*VEHICLES WILL NOT BE PERMITTED ON CORPORATE VILLAGE GROUNDS 9. Corporate Village will close one half (1/2) hour before game time. All guests will be asked to leave the field. 10. For your convenience, Corporate Village Volunteers are available for your assistance. They will be wearing Bronco shirts. There will be an Information Booth and First-Aid station set-up at the entrance of Corporate Village. 11. Please feel free to call (616)- 387-3062 or 2057 for any additional assistance. 12. Western Illinois ATTENTION ALL LEATHERNECK FOOTBALL TAILGATERS!!!! Welcome to Western Illinois University and Leatherneck Football! We hope that you have a safe and pleasurable experience. Tailgating has become a popular activity at home Leatherneck football games. With your cooperation in adhering to the following tailgate policy, we will assure that everyone enjoys this exciting football season. Please be respectful of other fans, use good judgment and common sense. Tailgate Policy Tailgating is permitted on days of home football games and is for the exclusive use of those fans attending the games. The University Alcohol Policy prohibits all possession or consumption of alcoholic beverages on campus unless an exception is specifically authorized. The University will permit tailgating activities in designated areas, intended to give football fans the opportunity to arrive early, park and have their own food and beverages (including alcoholic beverages if they wish) prior to each game. Since these events are permitted through exception to the University Alcohol Policy, the following guidelines have been formulated and will be in effect for your health and safety. 1.) Possession and consumption of alcoholic beverages within the intent described above (tailgating) will be permitted ONLY during the period from (2) two hours prior to the kickoff up to (15) fifteen minutes prior to game time on days of home football games in the following areas: a.) Parking Lot "N", located directly south of Hanson Field on Murray Street (Public) b.) Parking Lot "16", located directly east of the University Union on Murray Street (Public) c.) Parking Lot "16M", the metered lot located just north of Lot "16" (Reserved for Western Athletic Club members that qualify for parking privileges.) 2.) The laws of the State of Illinois apply to all tailgate activities. You must be 21 years of age or older to consume alcoholic beverages. Underage possession or consumption of alcoholic beverages is illegal. Violators will be subject to prosecution! 3.) Kegs and similar beverage dispensing devices are prohibited. Glass bottles or containers are prohibited. 4.) Small charcoal grills are permitted for cooking. NO open fires are permitted. All participants will be responsible for complete clean-up of their area. Garbage bags are provided for your convenience. Please use these bags for your waste material at the conclusion of tailgate activities. 5.) No type of refreshment or food will be allowed to be brought into Hanson Field. Violators will be asked to leave. 6.) Portable restroom facilities are located at the north and south end of Hanson Field. Additional restroom facilities are located inside the stadium behind the west stands. Restrooms are also located in Western Hall and the University Union. The WIU Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and your "Fighting Leathernecks" thank you for your attendance, support, and cooperation. These guidelines were established for the safety and enjoyment of all fans. They are intended to provide an opportunity for everyone to come out early and have small, social gatherings. Enjoy the game and please be respectful of all other fans. Thank you!
